Our family recently stayed at Garni during our Eifelsteig hike, and we found it to be a cozy spot for our adventure. The hotel's location was convenient, just a 5-minute stroll from the bus stop, making travel easy with kids in tow. We particularly enjoyed the nearby Ruhrsee lake, perfect for water sports and swimming-our children loved splashing around! Cycling was another highlight; the hotel offered bike rentals, so we took a family ride through the scenic surroundings, which kept everyone entertained. While we missed the dinner service since we didn't book ahead, the breakfast was satisfying and full of variety, providing us with the energy for our next day's adventures. The friendly couple running the hotel ensured our stay was pleasant, and we definitely appreciated the warm atmosphere. A lovely base for families eager to explore!
